You cannot lose if you take advantage of our Try Before You Buy scheme. It works as follows:
Try Before You Buy (TBYB) is organised over the phone to ensure that we understand your requirements and get the best possible chair match for you. Once we have established the right chair for trial and get the go ahead from you, we raise a deposit invoice for 50% of the value of the chair. There is also an delivery charge of £20.00 + VAT and £20.00 + VAT collection charge made at time of the deposit payment (£48.00 inc VAT). This charge covers both the delivery and collection of the trial chair.
As an example, if the chair you have chosen for Try Before You Buy is the ACT5 Chair with inflatable lumbar and T-shaped height adjustable arms, reference BBCTACT5 , the full chair price is £358.28. The required Try Before You Buy deposit would be half that - £179.14 plus the £48.00 delivery & collection charges = Total £227.14. This is payable prior to chair dispatch by either credit card over the phone, BACS or cleared cheque.
On receipt of payment we would dispatch the chair and suggest you trial it for 7-10 days. Under special circumstances, this period can be extended. Please discuss any extra time required to trial the chair at the time of ordering.
There are 3 possible outcomes. If the trial is successful and you decide to keep the trial chair, the £24.00 collection charge is deducted from the balance owed and you pay no more than if you had purchased the chair outright. If you like the chair but want to change the specification versus the trial chair specification (e.g. leather rather than fabric, a change of armrests) we will collect your trial chair (at no additional cost) and order a brand new chair for you made to your exact specification and colour. This will have a lead-time of approximately 10 working days (2 weeks) to manufacture. Any balance to pay will be dependent on the fabric selected and the chosen specification. You will have paid £179.14 towards this final specification. PLEASE NOTE You do not pay another delivery charge on the second chair delivered, only on the trial chair.
If the trial chair is not suitable after the trial period, all we ask is that you retain the box the trial chair was delivered in and we would arrange to collect it at a convenient time. We will then refund the 50% deposit paid less the delivery cost (using the example above namely £179.14) on receipt of the chair being received back in our warehouse in good condition.
Once the chair has had a trial, and you are in a position to make a decision, just let us know how you would like to proceed. It’s as simple as that and hundreds of customers have already taken up this option.
